Jacob Cook

Jacob Cook is a Managing Director at BDO Capital Advisors, LLC, with more than nine years of experience spanning tax structuring, capital raising, corporate finance, assurance, and operations. He has focused on Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) for more than seven years.

At BDO Capital, Jacob leads transaction execution and structuring within the ESOP Advisory Group. He also serves on BDO USA's Tax Technical Desk, providing GAAP and tax guidance to BDO USA clients and BDO Alliance member firms.

Before joining BDO, Jacob worked at a Big Four accounting firm, delivering assurance services to one of the largest U.S. utility companies. Earlier roles in finance, operations, information technology, and marketing give him a broad business perspective.

Jacob earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University, graduating summa cum laude from both programs.
